Thimun 2019
The THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Nations) conference is a five-day simulation of the United Nations for secondary students.
It took place at the end of January in the World Forum Convention Center in The Hague. THIMUN attracts over 3,200 students and teachers from around 200 schools located in more than 100 different countries.
Florencia Gezzi (5º ES) was selected by Essarp to be part of the Argentinian delegation who had to work hard preparing the strategy around the theme : “Work in a Globalised World: promoting jobs, protecting people” which had been assigned to them.
This has been an outstanding experience for all students, they were able not only to attend the Model but to share with other students from different parts of the world as well as visit Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft, Scheveningen and The Hague.
We believe debate and the United Nation Model give our students valuable tools for their life.

“El viaje a THIMUN fue una de las mejores experiencias que me tocaron vivir. No solo por la oportunidad de participar en un evento mundial y poder hablar con gente de todas partes del mundo, sino por cada una de las personas que me acompañaron. Estas dieciséis personas hicieron que este viaje fuera increíble e inolvidable. Todos tenemos intereses parecidos, y por eso pudimos hablar de temas que comúnmente no hablo con las personas que me rodean. Siento que fui capaz de aportar algo diferente al grupo y que aprendí un montón de cosas nuevas, de ellos y del viaje. Estoy sumamente agradecida por haber tenido la oportunidad de ir a este viaje que realmente hizo que me decidiera más en qué estudiar cuando termine el colegio y me dió un grupo de amigos que no cambiaría por nada.”
